Last Bit Of BG News


GAME STREAMS -

There will be a game stream Fri, Sat , Sun this week from 7pn GMT UK time - well be taking a votes on what game to play before we get Lego dimensions series 2.. We will be doing guess the minifig and also don't forget to comment in the stream for a chance to win! Also extra entry for series 16 minifigs!

Ahhhh


This week i managed (which is something i wanted to do for a long time -
this is old hat you might think) to complete a stop motion video on these awesome figs

but i love these minifigures - after all they are Disney -

check out the stop motion build here for all 18 cmfs -

Creeping an extra 2 minifigs into the series  and i am pretty sure we are going to see a series 2 -
wonder who the characters will be - the impact of series one of Disney cmf were evident on the shelves
as as soon as you saw them they were gone - and now are getting even harder to find - though i do know Argos has a few  making it harder for people to get a full set , if you come across these beauties here is a quick feel guide of all 18 figs
And if your lucky you will own a full series and will be showing your Disney minfig series -

I have to admit of all the figures that are in the series, The Cheshire cat and Aladdin just awesome figures - and amazing in their own cartoons awesome in Lego figure form - but i am sure you all have your own favorite - few people looked a buzz and complained about his head i thought it was pretty neat maybe not quite as authentic looking as the original buzz but still its wasn't a bad addition to the collection


So here we go a low down on all 18 minfigs and a feel guide!

1 ) Stitch 

 Great fig and cartoon - feel for the elongated head with ears

 

 2 ) Alien 

 from toy story - cute fig pretty much the same as the older alien from the earlier Disney toy story sets - similar feel to stitch, feel for smaller head than stitch and different ears

 3) Buzz 

classic character - not the greatest - and certainly not as good at the original - not bad though

easy find -- feel for plastic half helmet - or robot like body backpack

4) Aladdin

Awesome classic Disney cartoon - and awesome fig - feel for the lamp and his fez hair combo

No 5) Genie 

wish they would have molded the head and had a complete piece instead of the separate piece -- could have been better - Feel for the bottom part of body with curl 

6) Maleficent

This is an awesome fig - Just look at it  easy feel - just look for horns on crown

7) Alice

This is another awesome fig - nice print and alice in wonderland is sooooo classic - feel for bottle and dress - hair

8) Cheshire cat

This figure is Amazing - love Alice in wonderland story and also love this fig loads of colour feel for shorter legs tail or head -

No 9 ) Daisy Duck

Another classic fig - look for bow and beak molded head  

No 10 )   Donald Duck

Great Minifig Lego are picking iconic characters here, his hat is separate and there is a very small fragile stem inside - be careful not to break it otherwise you'll be searching for another minifig

 

               

11)  Minnie mouse 

 

great figures again classic fig and Lego's reproduction is perfect as in Mickey - easy -  feel for skirt and Lego mouse head

12)  Mikey mouse 

Pretty plain Figure - feel for mouse head and no skirt in bag

 

13) Mr Incredible 

 In my Opinion the worst of all these figures - don't think i need to explain why...though like his printed 2 x 2 tile - It's such a good film though

 14) Syndrome

This is much better figure than Mr incredible - feel for Spikey elongated hair and 2x2 tile

15) Peter Pan

Classic character and pretty cool fig - pretty tricky feel -  feel for pointy hat and hair combo

16)  Captain Cook

This is awesome i love this fig - the molded hair and hat makes for an easy feel -

 the printed torso is awesome 

17)  Ursuala

Another really great looking figure and really easy to find

 

18) Ariel 

Much better than the older Ariel figure - love the printed torso and hair - easy feel

 


Looking back at these figures - there are so many iconic characters and Lego's reproduction it pretty much like their cartoon counterpart

I give this series an 8.5 out of 10 -

PROS - Who doesn't love Disney

Cons - Few figs were just ok, Buzz was pretty ok could have been better - Mr incredible, Syndrome and Genie could have been better too.



Ok Before this weeks blog has finished i wanted to write something down for all of us who haven't yet managed to get our hands on the Disney castle -

And look at it, it's huge! really big in fact its 73 cm tall making it as tall than the tower of Orthanc .. But not as mighty as the Eiffel tower !! which is a staggering 1.2 m high

This building does not close - in other words there are no doors to seal of he back -  instead when you turn it round you have a variety of rooms that has sections from all Disney films they have even slung in some different characters and of course Tinkerbell i am sure a lot of peoples favorite.

This set comprises of over 4000 pieces and hopefully soon well be able to get our hands on one and do another awesome blog review
